Amy Wheeler is a social studies teacher and Department Chair for History at Bishop Lynch High School, a college preparatory school in Dallas, Texas. As a twenty-five-year teaching veteran, the experience she has gained teaching AP World History since 2005 has allowed her an inside understanding of the growth and change in the course over the last few years.
Also, her annual role helping to supervise the grading of the exams in the role of Assistant to the Chief Reader gives her a unique understanding of the skills and expectations of this course.
She has also gained experience through her roles in item writing for the AP Exam and participating in the exam standard setting. Additionally, she is a member of the pilot team of teachers who worked to create a Project Based Learning curriculum for the AP World History: Modern course.
